Professor Lisa Van Thiel

Senior Early Childhood Specialist/Project Director Early Literacy Matters

 

Biographic

Lisa Van Thiel is the Senior Early Childhood Specialist at the Institute for Community Inclusion at University of Massachusetts Boston, where she is the Project Director of Early Literacy Maters, an Early Reading First grant, and teaches course for the College of Education and Human Development.  She has experience as a preschool teacher, teacher of young children with special needs, director and owner of a private early childhood center, consultant, trainer, adjunct faculty member and specialist for MA Department of Education – Early Learning Services and the MA Department of Early Education and Care.  She has a Master’s degree from Wheelock College.
