Kaytlin is very technology savvy. She runs the computer lab – working with kids ranging from pre-k through 5 graders – at the rural afterschool program where she works. She is passionate about increasing access to technology for the children in the program, both for recreation and education. She continually asks for more computers at the program, saying she can’t work with the kids on reading or writing labs without them.
Kaytlin’s work does extend beyond the computer lab: she’s the group leader for the 5-6 year olds. She has strong relationships with most of them and but she usually engages them with yes or no questions. She’s looking for ways to meet the different kids in her group where they are for instruction, but she’s struggling to find a way.
