Maggie

Maggie is a site supervisor in an urban program. Two staff members at Maggie’s program went to a STEM training at which they became very excited about new activities. They showed initiative since the training, coming up with ways to integrate the new activities into weekly themes at the program. Most of the activities, however, require expensive materials that the program can’t provide.

The staff members are making comments about the program not wanting to invest in STEM. Maggie is looking for ways to encourage them to use their initiative to plan activities that fit in the program’s modest budget.
