Robert Weiner is a Professor of Political Science at the
University of Massachusetts at Boston, and an Associate at the Davis
Center for Russian Studies, Harvard University. He is the author of
Romanian Foreign Policy at the United Nations and
Change
in Eastern Europe, as well as several articles and book
chapters. His most recent publication is "The United Nations and
War in the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries,"The New England
Journal of Public Policy,Fall 2004. He is currently working on a book
dealing with postcommunist Romanian foreign policy, a book on "9/11 and
the International System"and a text on the United Nations in the New
Millenium. He has presented over 50 papers at various scholarly
conferences.He recently presented papers at meetings of the
International Studies Association , the American Political Science
Association,and the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic
Studies. His current fields of interest include International
Relations, International Organization (with special emphasis on the
United Nations) Comparative Foreign Policy, and Eastern Europe.
