Angi Stone-MacDonald, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Early Education and Care in Inclusive Settings.

Dr. Stone-MacDonald has developed and presented professional development trainings for preschool settings on assistive technology, using technology to support literacy, and, disabilities, preschool inclusion practices. She also engaged in the development of several online training courses as part of a grant funded redesign of the Special Education Master’s Degree program at Indiana University for in-service and pre-service teachers called SPEDFIST. Using various forms of technology, She has designed courses through Indiana University that could be completed online, with or without the support of a cohort. These courses used various technologies to allow students to complete training modules to assess their own knowledge and develop deeper content knowledge in various areas.

Dr. Stone-MacDonald has worked with children with disabilities for the last 14 years as a teacher, consultant, researcher, paraprofessional, and camp counselor. Her research interests include early intervention, online professional development in education, assistive technology in early childhood, international special education, and culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
