Forms
The next step is to implement the curriculum with your educators and reflect on what worked and what needs adjustment.
- Program Improvement Plan
- Program Professional Development Plan
- EEC Individual Professional Development Plan
- BOSTnet's IPDP
Sample Documentation
Below are three examples using a "Medieval Times" theme with "Great Joust" project, adapted for different age groups and three blank forms for your use.
Sample Discussion: Update your PIP and Staff IPDPs
Below is a sample assignment and discussion questions that can be used for self-paced learners or when training Administrators or Directors as a group in-person or online with the above materials. These activities can be documented for Professional Development hours.
- "Craft a strand of your PIP and/or PPDP that describes the implementation plan you developed above
- Update staff IPDPs to include a goal that will help you move towards success onthe implementation plan you developed above
- Choose a specific way to assess progress/success on your implementation plan
- Then, consider the following reflection questions.
o Describe the new strand in your PIP and/or PPDP. Did you find updating your PIP and/or PPDP and your staff IPDPs to be more or less challenging than you expected? Why? (200 word minimum)
o What is your plan to assess progress/success? Do you feel that your plan to assess progress/success is realistic? Why or why not? (200 word minimum)"
Recommended directions for online learners would be:
"Post your responses [in the discussion area]. Once you have responded to both questions, post a reply to two other learners."
Sample Discussion: Building Investment - Final Reflection
Below is a final assignment and discussion that can be used for self-paced learners or when training Administrators or Directors as a group in-person or online with the above materials. These activities can be documented for Professional Development hours.
- "Review the plan and documentation you’ve created and the peer feedback you’ve received
- Have a discussion with your team and present your plan using the concepts for mentoring and facilitating dialog
- Focus on building investment and maintaining motivation as you facilitate the discussion
- Consider the following reflection questions:
- How did the discussion go? How did staff respond? What do you feel you did well, and what will you do differently next time?
- What do you think will be most important to keeping your implementation plan on track and reaching your goal?"
Recommended directions for online learners would be:
"Post your responses [in the discussion area]. Once you have responded to both questions, post a reply to two other learners."
